Busy days

Last Friday we headed down to Black Canyon City (just north of Phoenix) to meet Larry and Sherrie Strong from Colorado. Russ and Cyndi met them in Colorado a couple months ago and they have really been a blessing to us and the ministry here. (they have a cabin in Estes Park where the Toews spent some time) It also doubled as a way to get Raquel down to Phoenix to fly out. We stayed at Sherrie's twin brother's place, Larry and Cyndi Miller overnight. (as a side note Larry and Sherrie grew up in Northern Indiana in a mennonite home) We really enjoyed meeting them.
We headed back up here Saturday morning. Saturday night we had a float in the Hotevilla Christmas Parade. We had Christmas Carols playing on the float and we passed out tracts along with candy, hats, mittens and lots of other things.

The sewer was plugged in the Toews house yesterday, so the guys have been working on that this morning and discovered tree roots in the line. In the process of digging they also broke a water line.... (They're thinking about going back to bed) So we currently have no water and just an outhouse for the toilet. During all of this it snowed profusely and we had our Kids Time Christmas Party. The digging to fix the pipes was right in front of the door so they all had to use the back entrance.... and the outhouse if needed. We did survive that and they even managed to get everything back together before dark.

Raquel, you really miss out on all the excitement when you leave. (It even snowed more after I talked to you)

Please continue to pray for Paula. It seems there is pressure and temptation just lurking at every turn. She has fallen into some of that recently and seems to be moving in the right direction again although the temptation is still staring her in the face. Please pray that she will remain strong and not forget the truth God has shown her in these areas already. Her daughter also seems to be struggling with something right now and we are praying that she will be open with her Mom at least and not keep it all inside.

Thank-you all so much for your prayers. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

I LOVE that last picture! Beautifulness.

I see Luke and Nathan have continued hanging lights all over.

At least they tore up my front yard while I was away... or something. -Raquel

It has snowed here. It may all melt before Christmas, but it has snowed. :-) - Raquel
